There are so many Tianjin snacks and specialties which are well-known nationally and internationally，such as Goubuli Bun -- a bun with delicious pork stuffings.
Tianjin also boasts many historic buidings of various architectural styles. When the the eight-power allied forces occupied Tianjin in 19th century，they built a multitude of western style buildings in the small area, including buildings with windows on the roof. Now these buildings are available for tourism, offering a chance for tourists to learn about the history of the city.Haihe river is a waterway running through the city,which was once used as a dumping place for the rich family to throw away their belongings in order to escape being persecuted during the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976). Two years ago, in a dredging project on Haihe River, a large number of treasures dug up from the bottom.
