孩子,别受中国英语的影响吧,查字典不能查出英语具体的含义和内在的意思.无论是两者或者两者都都是不准确的,勉强的翻译而已,我从语法给你解释下,There be句型中后面接的名词前面的修饰语性质是不定冠词,some就是,而BOTH是不能做冠词使用的,both可以做代词或者同位语,所以这里不能光从中文的意思去考虑,你学久了也会发现把both带进去读的很别扭.
前面的几位说的也很正确.
both只用於表示两者怎样的情况，如Both of the pictures are on the wall.或者Both pictures are on the wall.
在There are的句式中如果要加两者怎样直接用Two，故此处D是错的。
both一般和and连用。例如：both the pen and the book are mine.
还有一种情况，both是名词，是指上文提到的两个事物，有两者都……的含义。例如：Are the pen and the book there yours? Yes, both are mine.
