我们的教育中英语教育因为基本是美式因此就一直是沿用这种表达.
美国学校表示年级用grade,英国中学则用form,如六年级是the sixth form.美国有的私立学校也用form.
美国高中是四年(high school).我国把中学一律叫middle school,这对美国人来说有点搞不清楚.另外,美国高一学生叫freshman,高二学生叫sophomore,高三是junior,高四senior.这跟大学一、二、三、四年级的叫法一样,也容易混淆.
因此你说的High school sophomore,High school junior如果是美国的话应该是高二高三,如果是中国就是高一高二.
高三相当于英联邦国家的year12, 美国喜欢用High school senior

sophomore 美式英语高中或者大学第二年
junior 式英语高中或者大学 第三年
其实中国人最好别用这个, 有点地方的味道,其他国家基本不这么说.
