用副词或者代词是由从句所要表达或者强调的意思决定的.
以前两句为例.
第一句.I will never forget the day 这是主句
I first met you on the seashore 这是从句.从句用来充当主句中宾语day的定语,也就是用来形容这一天是怎么样的一天的意思.从句的意思是“我第一次在海边遇见你（的时候）”.是在强调我遇见你的时间.所以连结主句和从句就要用时间副词“when”.（副词一般就只有时间副词when和地点副词where.）
第二句.I will never forget the days 这是主句.
we spent together in Xueyao Middle School 这是从句.同样,从句用来充当主句中宾语day的定语,也就是用来形容这些天是怎么样的意思.从句意为“我和你在Xueyao中学一起度过（的这些天）”.强调的是“这些天”也就是主句中days的本身.所以连结主句和从句就用代词“which”或者“that”.“which”或者“that”就代指主句中的days.
其他的以此类推.

要是实在理解不了你就死记.用从句中的动词来区分.
若从句中的动词是及物动词（也就是面可以直接接宾语的动词）,那肯定就用关系代词that或者which.
若从句中的动词是不及物动词（也就是后面不可以直接接宾语的动词）,说的是时间就用when,说的是地点就用where.
